Forex: EUR/USD around 1.3190/1.3200 on FOMC

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Increased volatility soon after the FOMC statement, although the single currency is well managing to keep the area of 1.3190/1.3200 after the FOMC statement.

The FOMC has remarked that the Committee would maintain its accommodative policy in response to the swings in the inflation figures and the labour market, changing the pace of the purchases accordingly.

EUR/USD is now advancing 0.22% at 1.3197 and a surpass of 1.3319 (high Feb.25) would then target 1.3343 (61.8% of Feb-Apr slide) en route to 1.3456 (high Feb.14).
On the flip side, support levels align at 1.3162 (hourly low May 1) followed by 1.3120 (hourly high Apr.30) and finally 1.3052 (MA21d).

Forex: USD/JPY reacts to the upside following FOMC decision

The Dollar is currently rising against the Japanese yen following the FOMC decision to leave unchanged its interest rate at the 0.25% and the announcement that the Federal Reserve is ready to increase or decrease the pace of bond purchases.
